Course Overview

This course is a sport-specific training that will help you understand the technical and didactic aspects of cheerleading. After this course, you will master the basic techniques to coach a team from level 'Beginner' to 'Intermediate'

There will also be a practical part. This will be divided into two parts: one part where you as athletes will be taught certain elements and one part where you can learn/practice to instruct certain skills in a small group.

This course includes the following topics:

  • What is cheerleading?
  • An extensive explanation per basic element (motions, stunts, pyramid, tumbling)
  • How to instruct cheerleading in a safe way
  • What are the rules from level 'Beginner' to 'Intermediate' and how to apply them
  • Stunts from level 'Beginner' to 'Intermediate'
  • Tumbling elements from level 'Beginner' to 'Intermediate'
  • Curriculum for a level 'Beginner' to 'Intermediate' cheer team
  • Lesson structure for a cheer-training

Exam

There will be a theoretical exam at the end of the second day. The exam can be taken in Dutch, French or English.

Certificate

Upon completion, successful participants will receive a certificate for participation in the Coaches Level C course of the BCF.

This course is required to take the course trainer B and A.
